Physiotherapy
Different machines and equipments as well as series of exercises
are used to reduce inflammation and pain, as well as increase
range of motion and strength.
Passive
care or physical modalities can be as simple as heat or ice
therapy, to more sophisticated electro-therapy and ultrasound
machines.
Electro Therapy:
Electro-Therapeutic Currents which include interferential
current (IFC), and transcutaneous electrical stimulation,
are important part of therapeutic modalities that help in
different areas.
- Relax muscles.
- Simulate active exercise.
- Increase production of body’s own pain killing
hormones such as Endorphins, and Enkephalins.
- Enhance circulation around the injured area.
- Increase healing rate.
Ultrasound:
- Enhance chemical reactions for faster healing.
- Enhances blood flow.
- Decrease pain by elevating pain threshold.
Super Pulsed Multi Radiance Laser:
Super pulsing allows for deeper penetration than a laser
of the same wavelength that is not super pulsed but has the
same average output power. Multi Radiance Technology is the
first of its kind to combine the entire range of the therapeutic
light spectrum and deliver therapeutic energy in a synergistic
manner. Super Pulsed Laser, Red LEDs, Infrared Emitting Diodes
and a Static Magnetic Field. The syncing of the therapeutic
wavelengths creates an optimal environment that reinforces
the effects of the individual wavelengths to create the world’s
most advanced pain relieving modality.
The key to successful laser therapy is safely delivering
a high density of photons to injured tissue. This is where
most laser devices fall short. The LASERPRISM’s super
pulsed laser is the fastest in the world, delivering a pulse
at billionths of a second. Combined with 25,000 mW of peak
power, the result is a higher concentration of light energy,
or photons, driven deeper into the target tissue, without
the risk of damaging heat build up.
Multi Radiance Technology™ devices are an optimal
tool for pain relief application because:
- Multi Radiance Technology has a unique combination of
radiances working synergistically to provide a high photonic
density delivered up to 5 inches deep in tissue.
- The combination of these radiances cover the complete
spectrum of the therapeutic window (from Red Light 600nm
to Infrared Light 905nm).
An 88% positive effect was demonstrated in studies done
on the efficacy of Multi Radiance Technology in relieving
pain caused by arthritis of small and medium joints. The clinical
study involved 140 participants.
Conditions Treated:
Reduction of pain associated with:
- Cervical(neck pain)
- Lumbar (low back pain)
- Elbow and joint pain and injuries
- Wrist pain and injuries
- Lower extremities pain
- Knee and joint pain and injuries
- Foot and ankle pain
